Re: 1.2 Million Snow Geese
the video had stopped for a while when i posted the above. (it does that with the longer clips). later on it does look darker but i think that is due to it was later in the day. being here during this obviously would be a helluva nightmare to someone who suffered from ornithophobia (fear of birds). this would have been a great scene for alfred hitchcock's "the birds". i'm not afraid of geese. if they charge me, they are in for a surprise because i won't run from them. i'll just grab them by the neck and pull them over to me and cuddle them. a goose bite might leave a mark but its no big deal. on the other hand, i don't think i would go over to where they are all on the ground in this video. 1.2 million goose bites probably could do some serious damage or worse if these geese are agressive. besides, i wouldn't live long enough to hold and cuddle all of them. i'm surprised half of them aren't laying around dead or dying. with so much air traffic (the geese) and no air controller, you'd think they would crashing into each other. this reminds me of a video (i'm pretty sure it is from here) of a murmur of swallows all flying and apparently not crashing into each other. (amazing how so many birds can manage not to crash into each other but let there be a huge loud airplane... |
