Re: What Celebrity Corpse Would You Like to See?

In before someone else beats me to it.

Anthony Bourdain. I admire the man, or should I say “admired” him. It’s a shame that he chose the easy way out, but I refuse to lay the blame at his feet.
It’s admantly clear that the man was suffering. He didn’t show it though, his public persona didn’t leave any hint that this was the case.
But he was. Now we know. And now it’s too late to do anything.

But I would like to see the crime-scene photos. Not particularly the body itself, but the evidence at least.

No it’s not. It’s never too soon.
Not to me, at least.

.
He was unhappy over the years, you could see it in his eyes. Watching him on TV, I always enjoyed his personality, however his disdain and bitterness for life seemed pretty clear to me.

He had a darkness about him, I was not surprised by his suicide.

Re: What Celebrity Corpse Would You Like to See?

Agree to disagree.

He's always been an ideal candidate for suicide. I've always seen the perceived "bitterness & disdain."

I believe that to be deep ingrained into his personality; he hadn't outwardly changed at all over his life, nor in recent years.

He's always been extremely blunt & forthcoming in his communication, and he's never been afraid to express his contempt for the perceived weak/poor quality...

Bottom line: the guy was a textbook example of a perfectionist & a control-freak (not stated in a "judgmental" way).

...that's why I've always had him pegged as the "suicide type."

He had those traits about him, he was a "celebrity," and he was starting to show (and probably feel) his age. He didn't want it any longer, so he walked away.
I'm not trolling here but you just described yourself.

take care of yourself, buddy.

Re: What Celebrity Corpse Would You Like to See?

What the fuck is with you, numbnuts?!?

You can’t even type more than a sentence or two without contradicting yourself to the point of being nonsensical
In retrospect. It's adamantly clear that he suffered, looking back. He didn't show it when he was still alive.
It wasn't clear to me prior, because he never struck me as the type. Perhaps, I'm poor at reading people but I never figured Mr Bourdain to be the type.
He had an adventurous spirit that most folks can only dream of. He was so open-minded that his brains could fall out. Luckily, he was an intellectual and he was able to carry both intellectual AND laid-back conversation. Most people can't lay claim to such a skill either.

Which part are you agreeing to disagree about? You nailed what I was saying.

Pancakes.
