Vijayan Mash, Editor of the Cultural Weekly, Dies On Live TV
Renowned writer, orator, and academic Prof M. N. Vijayan, also known as Vijayan Mash, tragically passed away on October 3, 2007. At 75, Vijayan suffered a cardiac arrest while addressing a press meet at the Press Club in Thrissur. Despite immediate efforts by journalists to rush him to the hospital, he was pronounced dead by doctors upon arrival. A well-known figure in literary and cultural circles, Vijayan was a respected literary critic and cultural activist. His contributions to the field of literature and his role as an influential voice in cultural activism left a significant mark on the intellectual landscape of India.
