Video Shows Rapper FBG Duck Shot in the Street
The death of rapper FBG Duck, born Carlton Weekly, was a stark reminder of the violence that can plague the music industry, particularly in genres like hip hop that are often reflective of the harsh realities of urban life. FBG Duck, a Chicago-based rapper, was known for his association with the "Fly Boy Gang," or FBG, part of the city's vibrant but often tumultuous rap scene. On August 4, 2020, FBG Duck was fatally shot in a daylight attack in Chicago's upscale Gold Coast neighborhood. The incident occurred on Oak Street, a busy shopping area, and was a shocking display of violence in broad daylight. The brazen nature of the attack underscored the ongoing issues of gang violence and crime in certain parts of the city. According to the Chicago Police Department, multiple shooters emerged from two cars and opened fire on FBG Duck and others who were with him. Despite being transported to a hospital, FBG Duck succumbed to his injuries. In October 2021, five individuals were charged in federal court with crimes related to his murder. The charges included murder in aid of racketeering, which carries a potential death penalty or life in prison upon conviction. The individuals charged were alleged members of a street gang and were accused of participating in a criminal organization that engaged in acts of violence, including murder and assault, to further its activities. |

That’s probably the biggest rapper death ever in Chicago. Oblock has killed off all the big names from FBG/STL the last few years.
