Re: Vic Morrow's Body After the Twilight Zone Movie Accident
Yes, there wouldn't have been much to see anyway. My understanding is the swamp they were filming in was drained, filled, and leveled, and the brush in that area was cleared, so it's now just a vacant lot with no distinguishing features. I remember at the time I read about it, that it was 1/2 mile or 3/4 mile from the Magic Mountain Theme Park, and was west and a little north of the park. I remember thinking that if I was at Magic Mountain, I could have seen the site from on top of the Ferris wheel or from the roller coaster. That was about 10 years ago, so there might even be buildings or a parking lot on the site by now. |

Re: Vic Morrow's Body After the Twilight Zone Movie Accident
Ive always been a fan of that movie, and of Vic Morrow. On another topic- Myself, as well as many other guys, have had, at some point, the hots for his actress-daughter.. Jennifer Jason Leigh. She was a looker back in the day. (and a decent actress) He has another daughter, who died back around Xmas of 2016, Carrie ann Morrow. She was a bit of a recluse, often. Stayed inside a lot, in a pretty cool house in NE LA for yrs. She was a music fan and played guitar, piano & keyboards. She did struggle with depression, and with drugs (pills). She received a sizable amount of $$ from Vic’s estate after he died. RIP Vic. |

He was dragged back into the shore with the two kids where they were photographed and put into black bags.

I read somewhere that the boy was also decapitated, the girl either was crushed under the weight of the copter or it held her underwater |

This picture was hours after the accident, according to the caption.

Re: Vic Morrow's Body After the Twilight Zone Movie Accident
I remember seeing an interview with someone that knew Vic and was close to him who was on the set that day. He downplayed just how gruesome it really was and said something like, "When I first saw Vic immediately after the accident, he was lying face up in the water" giving the impression he was relatively intact and still attached to his body but he was clearly decapitated judging by those pics. I think friends of celebrities who died violently and witnessed their demises tend to do this, perpetuate the myth of the almost bloodless corpse. The friend who saw Jayne Mansfield implied she only lost a very small part of the4 top of her skull but actually a good portion of her brain was torn away ("cranial avulsion"). James Deans' friend said he only had a few drops of blood on his boots and his neck and head were at an odd angle but was otherwise appeared normal.
