Re: US Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens, Death Pictures
You should consider sending your father, brothers, sons or love ones as part of these Marines' deployment. Then perhaps you'd think a bit deeper before using the Marines as a "push button" to satisfy your propensity for further destruction.

Re: US Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens, Death Pictures
My father, brothers, grandfathers and uncles have served their country well in the United States Army from WWI up to Enduring Freedom, and are now enjoying retirement. And this could have been prevented had the guards been given ammunition for their damned guns!

Re: US Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens, Death Pictures
Just stating the base obvious perspective from both sides. Looks like it's heading in that direction. Back in January the commander in Kuwait asked for and got a 15,000 troop increase (we have troops there, if you didn't know). In July we increased our carrier strike force to 4 - Stennis, Lincoln, Eisenhower and Enterprise. In Oman we have an airbase with over 40,000 personnel ready to equip and put in to the air some of our most sophisticated hardware. Syria, Libya, Sudan, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Lebanon ... all hair trigger unstable. Religion aside, you wanna talk about an ambivalent, ignorant 1%er ruling class, just look at the middle east. These folks are still living in the equivalent of European medieval times. They have no concept of what living in an open society means, after living under tyranny for so long. And now the controlling tyrants - dictators, theocrats or military have no idea how to bring control back. |

Also love how the equivalent of the Muslim tea party goes and attacks a German embassy. Ha! Yeah, regardless of the fact that the movie was made in America, you can forget ever getting any empathy from Deutschland. I can hear the jack boots now echoing against the pavement as goose stepping neo nazis make their way to the nearest immigrant neighborhood for a little Sudanese kristallnacht action.

Re: US Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens, Death Pictures
hey, I read your response with interest, thanks. you are right, of course, and I agree with you. Filmmakers ought to be able to film whatever they want. It was malicious of Bacile to do what he did because he did deceive his cast in a major way; actors went on record about this. I was just reacting to that malicious intent of his. |
