Unabomber Victims & Crime Scenes

The Unabomber was Theodore "Ted" Kaczynski, an American domestic terrorist and former mathematics professor who carried out a 17-year mail-bombing campaign. Between 1978 and 1995, he killed 3 people and injured 23 others by targeting universities, airlines, and computer stores to protest modern technology.

Not all victims are accounted for in these photos. Just the one's I could find.

1: Janet Smith (May 5, 1982): Vanderbilt University secretary; hand and arm injuries from an opening blast.
2-5: John Hauser (May 15, 1985): UC Berkeley graduate student; lost four fingers on his right hand and suffered partial vision loss.
6: Nicklaus Suino was a graduate student and research assistant at the University of Michigan who was injured by a mail bomb sent by Theodore Kaczynski, the Unabomber, on November 15, 1985.
7-10: Gary Wright was severely wounded in February 1987 when he picked up a homemade bomb disguised as a piece of lumber outside his computer repair shop in Salt Lake City, Utah. The blast threw him 22 feet, impaled his body with over 200 pieces of metal shrapnel and needle-like slivers, severed nerves in his left arm, and required a dozen surgeries over 15 years.
11-15: Charles Epstein (June 22, 1993): UCSF geneticist; severely injured by a mail bomb sent to his California home. His daughter, who brought in the mail, and wife, who was in the next room, were unharmed. Epstein lost several fingers on his right hand, suffered a broken arm, ruptured eardrums with partial hearing loss, and burns and internal injuries to his face, hand, and abdomen.
15-20: David Gelernter (June 24, 1993) opened a padded envelope in his Yale office that he believed to be a doctoral dissertation. The package was actually a mail bomb sent by Kaczynski. The resulting explosion nearly killed him and left him with permanent, severe injuries, including the loss of use of his right hand, partial blindness in his right eye, and damage to his chest and abdomen
