The pix of MJ were hard. I'm not sure of the veracity of the one cadaverous face shot though. It doesn't match up with others I've seen that I know are real. He didn't deserve to be demonized as much as he was. Nothing was ever proven in the case against him, and reports were that the father of the "molested" boy, pushed his son into making that claim because of some significant debts he needed to pay. I stand by the idea that just because you're weird does not mean you're evil. He was certainly weird, but his desire to have a late childhood was just too much for some people to grasp. Rest in Peace, Michael. I and many others still love you. I think the celebrity death that affected me the most, though, was Leonard Nimoy. My world got noticeably colder that day. I was one of his early fans, and had the pleasure to meet him more than once. His character of Mr. Spock was pivotal to getting me into the sciences, and I credit my early crush on him with most of my successes through the rest of my life. I can't even imagine what I would have been like if I hadn't used him and Spock as guiding forces. He has a beautiful resting place too. Maybe someday, I can visit there. |
