I grew up in FL. Lots of people were ecstatic when he was fried. I remember seeing people on the side of the roads holding up signs about " Bundy fries" and stuff like that.

I was living in Jacksonville then--everyone was joking about turning off the lights to make sure there was enough electricity to fry his ass.

Well that is a possibility but that is not why he was autopsied. During that era almost all non natural deaths were autopsied and info compiled to establish a medical data base. Today with non intrusive viewing methods autopsied are less common unless an unknown death due to murder, accident, or unknown cause.

I live in Seattle, and his execution was big news. One of his victim's moms had been completely shattered by her daughter's death; she always wore black, had kept her daughter's room exactly as it had been, etc. I don't remember her name but I wonder how she's doing now.

That's heartbreaking :( I detest how liberals care more about the criminal's rights than the victims. The victims' families serve the real life sentence :(
