Then by all means, follow up on the investigation, and if it does turn out to be a homicide, then bring the perp(s) to justice. I just hope for God's sake that this doesn't become a racially charged media frenzy.

has anyone here ever seen a wrestling mat? those motherfuckers are like an inch and a half thick of rubber. if you get rolled up in a high school sized mat which is very large, no one will even feel your bones snapping if they sat on it. he couldn't even move, the poor kid. I sympathize for him but I think that you would Definitely look like that rolled up in a mat

I've actually lost an item to a rolled up gym mat before. Plenty of highschoolers do, and nobody tries to swan dive into one to retrieve personal property- you just tip the goddamn mat over on it's side and grab whatever you lost quick enough to hightail it outta there before a teacher catches you. Until the school makes the CCTV tape public, I am going to remain highly skeptic about this case |

I think they're reaching a bit by comparing this case to the case of Emmett Till. Till was lynched and murdered by white men because he spoke to one of their wives. Whether Kendrick was murdered has yet to be seen. I'm not saying he was or wasn't but it is in no way comparable to Emmett Till.
