Soccer Players/Siblings, Diogo Jota and André Silva, Killed in High-Speed Crash
Cernadilla, Zamora, Spain To be honest, not a hundred percent sure the photos of the burned bodies are related, but they've been posted on several Telegram channels I'm in as such, and reverse image search turned up with no results. Two Portuguese soccer players were killed in a car crash in northwestern Spain early on Thursday, when their Lamborghini veered off the road and burst into flames. The deceased were 28-year-old Liverpool FC player and Portugal international, Diogo Jota; and his brother, 25-year-old André Silva, who played for Penafiel in the Portuguese second-tier. Evidence at the crash site suggested Jota's car suffered a burst tyre while overtaking, police said. The vehicle then flipped over and ended up in the central reservation. The crash occurred around 00:30 a.m. local time. According to reports, Jota was on his way to catch a ferry from Santander to England to attend pre-season training with Liverpool. Due to minor surgery, his doctors had advised against him flying. Jota had just married his partner of ten years in late June, with whom he had three children. He had just won the Premier League with Liverpool (the club he had played for since 2020), and the UEFA Nations League with Portugal. Silva had studied a university course in business management alongside his football career, and set up a company with his brother. He graduated shortly before his death.         |

shit, how sad. the fire completely destroyed the car so they stood no chance. do you know which body is which ?

Well, that sucks. Looks like speed was a significant factor. I had a rapid tire deflation at 167 MPH. Definitely high pucker factor to see "Tire Failure" warning start flashing on the dash at that speed. At least is was at "only" 167 MPH as I was still accelerating for a top speed run.
