Possible reasons:

- It may seem too cruel a married older couple standing at the wall and wait for their executions even if a dictator execution
Usually no one wants to be a dictator anyone to feel sorry

- As you see in the first footage at 6:33 and the second footage 4:49 and Ceaușescu wife have a headshot from the fusillade one of the AK47 assault rifle
Possible it's a accidental headshot, but maybe it's too looks cruel, because she was only the wife and she's got the headshot from the execution squad not the dictator

As far as I know there is no full video of the execution.
I am a romanian and i've read a bit on the subject: the cameraman was changing the tape/batteries and didn't start the camera in time. They got shoved to the wall and shot quickly.
Fun facts(from reports/testimonies of the people from the military base):
- some soldier from the military base not part of the execution squad unloaded his ak into them after the execution with the higher officer's approval for personal hatred reasons
- dogs from the military base got a bit of a taste of dictator's brains

I saw a video clip of the two, running around like rabbits. They wouldn't stand still long enough for anyone to shoot them. If I remember rightly, they shot them to stop them from running around, and then executed them while they were lying on the ground.
It was a nicer end than they gave to any of their political prisoners.
So they really can't complain. They got what they had coming.
