Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
A few more rare ones. First one was taken from the 48th floor of the North Tower by George Mironis shortly after 8:46 AM. Second one was shot from the 35th floor of the South Tower by Dave Bobbitt. Source: http://timeline.national911memorial.org/#/Explore/2/ Check it out. Has some security camera footage of the collapse. |

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
for those interested in the state of consciousness of those falling...i spoke to a cognitive theorist who believes that in a lot of cases, the brain would mercifully alter its perceptual awareness to protect the individual...for instance, there was the woman who, as she fell, kept adjusting her skirt to protect her dignity..that isn't a reasonable behavior under the circumstances...furthermore..in the moments as they clung to the facade...there had to have been numerous cases of what's called total acceptance...where the individual no longer fears and suffers...but rather perceives the trauma as liberation...food for thought

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
he could have jumped from a lower level than the other people who jumped. but of course he could have been killed by debris, killed in the building and ended up outside, or it could be from a different event all together.

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
You got a good point there. What was the lowest floor people have jumped off? Are there any reports?

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
Have you ever watched " How it was: the voices of 9/11 " ? To save on confusion, there are two programs called the voices of 9/11 I think, but the one I am talking about was on the National Geographic channel. A gentleman is talking about being on the phone with a woman trapped in the North Tower. She was describing things to him and then said, " Oh, now people are jumping, what should I do ? Should I jump ? " Can you imagine being a 911 operator, and a person asking you something like that ? Considering that she got through to the 911 operator at all on 9/11, because there were plenty who did not. I heard one call where it said we can not complete your call due to the emergency in Lower Manhattan. |

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
I think the lowest floor a person jumped from was around 93 in the North Tower, and the guy fell from the East face of the South Tower climbing down a rope or something around the second skylobby, though technicaly he was not a jumper.
