See the thing is that "culture" shit you are speaking off is something that is only said on the internet or TV. I have never heard a black person say that in person. I don't know where you are from or how many interactions you have had with black people in your life, but if you think they are all like what you see on that screen you are looking at, you are in for a rude awakening.

Yeah but every uneducated hoodrat’s own individual misapprehensions of English does not-a-dialect make. For some folks AAVE seems to be just ‘whatever degenerate remnant of English is spoken by any particular African American person’ and this does *not* meet the definition of a ‘dialect’.

I know it's not every one of them. It's mainly the American ones in urban environments.

As far as where I'm from, my interactions, etc., I'm not a globetrotter, but I get around. And I've met Kenyans, Nigeriens, Nigerians, Ethiopians, Sudanese...

To be honest, the Africans I've met - and those first generation Americans raised by Africans - are nothing at all (in terms of demeanor, attitude, values, etc) like the average urban black American that I've met - and have the about same opinion about that "CuLtUrE" shit as I do.
