Diana, Princess of Wales was the first wife of Charles, Prince of Wales. Princess Diana died after a high speed car accident in the Pont de l'Alma road tunnel in Paris along with Dodi Fayed and their driver Henri Paul on 31 August 1997.

None of the four occupants wore seatbelts. Henri Paul and Dodi Fayed died instantly, and Diana - unbelted in the back seat - slid forward during the impact and, having been violently thrown around the interior, suffering massive damage to her heart and subsequent internal bleeding. She was eventually, after considerable delay, transported by ambulance to the Pitie-Salpetriere Hospital, but on the way to casualty went into cardiac arrest twice. Despite lengthy resuscitation attempts, including internal cardiac massage, she died.

Yes, I've seen the black and white one too but had no idea of either being real or not. Guess it's someone else in similar car accident who looked similar in appearance??

I've seen this picture many times in B&W and in color. I think it's fake. The illumination is wrong in many places. Hard to find out due to the resolution, never seen one good enough to analyze. The places where the different pieces get together are darkened on purpose.
Besides all that, I'm almost 100% sure that the car never got the top removed. The first pictures published were taken after the emergency intervention, the bodies were gone already and the car had the top. I'd have to check that out because my memory could be failing.

The fire engine in the back ground has "999" on the side which means its a British one as well as the fireman appear to wearing British style uniforms so therefore not Princess Di photo. Probably accident with similar looking person to Princess Di.

I'm sure you're right about the roof of the car, it was never removed. Here's a picture of it once the bodies had been removed. Mind you I guess it could have been 'pushed back' but I believe that particular picture is not Di.
