He was in the Mandalay Hotel overlooking the concert and just sprayed the crowds from up there. A local resident too, I’m reading. Terrible.

BBC News: More than twenty people have been killed and at least 100 injured in a mass shooting at a Las Vegas concert. A gunman opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel toward an open-air music festival being held close by. Police said a suspect identified as a local resident, who was not named, had been shot and killed by officers. They said they were looking for a companion travelling with the suspect as a "person of interest". |

NBC News has named the suspect as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, citing “multiple sources.” The Guardian cannot verify this. The police say he has been identified as a Las Vegas resident, but have not released his name. His motives are not known.
