Re: Pictures & Videos From The Mass Shooting at Las Vegas Concert
I guess nobody can denounce the fear-mongering shit the government does to its own people?

Re: Pictures & Videos From The Mass Shooting at Las Vegas Concert
I see what you’re saying about media promoting fear. There’s some weight in that argument for sure. I also think the government can capitalise on events like these to help push an agenda like for example the right to surveill or monitor the population to a greater degree. I believe those things are worrisome - many say if you have nothing to hide it’s ok to snoop on privacy but I disagree and it’s a worrying development. Think 1984. However, that said, I’m not paranoid. I don’t believe every one of these events is somehow part of a big conspiracy to keep the population under control. They may be used for political gain by parties, or even the NRA and their opponents, but ultimately they are what they are - isolated shocking tragic incidents. There are things to be discussed whenever these happen - who, why, how, etc. Police are baffled by Paddock’s motives but then why do serial killers do what they do? |

I don't really think that every event is fake. It's just so hard to differentiate between the truth and lies because of how it seems that everyone puts a spin on things and has an agenda. People are never allowed to see the whole picture, or at least all that's known.

In this case they seem to give a somewhat detail description of what all happened, but I have serious concerns about how the man got the guns into the hotel. Why the hell would their not be hardened security in at least a one block radius around the concert, including buildings and other vantage point, especially with all the crazy crap thats been going on in the last year or so.

Re: Pictures & Videos From The Mass Shooting at Las Vegas Concert
Well, to be fair I’m sure that’s part of the investigation which is ongoing. There are already lawsuits flying around all over the place and the casino owners MGM are already in deep shit over it. People in casinos are among the most surveilled ever for obvious reasons but that’s on the floors. Hotel suites and corridors less so. It should have been spotted but it wasn’t. The fact it took so long for help to arrive after the guard was shot is also bad news for the casino security and police but it’s a sign of incompetence rather than anything more sinister in my opinion. These things happen, then changes are made to stop it happening again, so you can guarantee security in casinos will go up massively now, just like airport checks post 9/11 etc. It’s reactive rather than proactive but no one can foresee every one of these events. |
