Re: Pictures & Videos From The Mass Shooting at Las Vegas Concert
Anyone who seeks out weaponry is a potential nutter in waiting. Sorry if you don't like that, but I don't like nutters who worship guns. Try stamp collecting |

I like it. Many things are funnier with the Benny Hill theme. UK police attend a scene and they usually disarm the assailant (where possible) sufficient to question him, then punishment is dished out by the legal system via due process - all right and proper. |

Re: Pictures & Videos From The Mass Shooting at Las Vegas Concert
First a note: Not many people "know" what they will do in a deadly situation - fight or flight often takes over. Look at this shooting incident....the band went, came back then went again...nobody really sure what to do. Some people running, some crouching, some filming, some standing up "defiantly". And some here naively accused the band of cowardice because they didn't do what they as armchair analysts think should do whilst from the comfort of their PC chair. If faced with an assailant with a gun, I know it'd do me no good to have a gun too. I'd probably already be dead...just look at most of the videos here. Boom, you're gone. But in this unlikely event of a gunman wafting it around without taking me by surprise, and given I'm not actually there now, I'd either hide (if distance permits) or I'd get as close as I could, as quickly as I could to mitigate his aim and try to pummel him whilst screaming obscenities (maybe even using his own weapon). Of course, as mentioned, in the heat of the moment, I dare say I'd freeze...then fly in one direction or another (enraged and/or fearful). I hope that answers your question. |

I gave you a scenerio. Hypothetical. Would you decide a gun, or be anti-gun advocate enough to ask your murderer to use a knife, bomb, or even a truck? What would you do, given the opportunity to choose? |

Re: Pictures & Videos From The Mass Shooting at Las Vegas Concert
Given an unavoidable ultimatum I'd have a bullet to the head - yes. I don't think that has any bearing on gun law at all though....like I mentioned, it's not either/or. Lee Rigby could easily have been me I suppose if I'd not have moved on. I used to work in the same Woolwich barracks a few years prior. I always shaved my hair (military style!?!), and I used to take the same lunchtime walk down to the shops he did from the barracks and back at the same time of day! I would not dole out guns though to wannabe terrorists in the hope they be more humane in their method of execution. Let's try to limit their scope than give them "options" eh. |

What dank memes? (I thought I was "me me" - It might help to be specific here and provide a link. Meanwhile, what Muslims? Extremists or just regular "Muslims"...there is a huge difference. - Another specific link please or there is nothing to discuss. |
