Re: Paul Walker Death Picture

I blew it up in Photoshop and the head is dark black, while obviously the body looks different. Damn, what an awful way to go
When you 'burn alive' you tend to suffocate to death because the fire is consuming all the oxygen in the air. Still, not a pleasant way to go - suffocating while burning alive. If they were lucky they got knocked unconscious in the collision.

Agreed. Everybody wants to be the hero. Nobody was around that thing when that dude was taping his youtube video.

Re: Paul Walker Death Picture

They were gone for more than 20 minutes, and the accident was within a short walking distance from where they left (they were probably doing the loop over and over again). It's not that unfathomable that they switched positions, and Paul ended up driving the car at some point. Again, just pure speculation. I don't know. I just thought the story from his friend about trying to get him out was suspicious and unrealistic.
Did you read the memo that Porsche released to all its Carrera GT dealers?

It seems the car was dangerous to drive due to quality control problems and Porsche had cautioned its dealers not to let "just anyone" drive the car. The memo makes statements like "it is very important that the man who has gone to the technical training, at least, is consulted before anyone drives this vehicle" ... "The car cannot go over a speed bump without damage to the three under panels" ... "you need to be aware of what type of road surface you are on (dips; pot holes, seam heights, etc)" ... "this vehicle cannot drive over a Foster Beer can that is lying on its side" ... and "Carrera GT is as close to a racecar as we will ever get. This car has all the disadvantages of a racecar".

Since the road Walker and Rodas was on had reflective dots in the center line, then with the car's extreme sensitivity to just about any surface, it is entirely possible that they played a factor in the crash, not just an excess of speed. Since Rodas was a professional race car driver, having driven with Porsche since the beginning of his career, he was the only one of the two qualified to drive the car.

Another factor to consider is that the body sitting on the passenger side of the car was partially dragged out by one of Walker's closest friends, Nute. When firefighters arrived they attempted to physically remove Nute from the car for his own safety but he punched one of the firefighters, which prompted police to forcibly wrestle him away from the scene of the accident. He was cuffed and quickly detained but then released once police worked out who he was. In the meantime the driver's body had not been touched and both his legs were still placed firmly in the driving position, underneath the dashboard with feet on the pedals. So that evidence alone indicates that Paul Walker is in fact the body on the passenger side of the vehicle.

Here is a copy of part of the Porsche memo as well as a photo of the police wrestling with Nute, who is clearly overcome with grief, soon after he punched the fireman for stopping his attempt to remove Walker from the burning wreckage...

Re: Paul Walker Death Picture

watched a video of them interviewing one of the guys trying to put out the fires and get him out, he said he was unconscious while he was burning. At least he was awake while this was happening. What a sad way to go. :/

Re: Paul Walker Death Picture

Please forgive the crude edit job... I circled in white what I believe is Paul's body, based on the fact that a report said he was the passenger. His friend, who was reportedly driving, is circled in yellow. What a horrible way to go... and the guy was my age. So sad. RIP.

Re: Paul Walker Death Picture

And here is the full scene showing Nute being wrestled away from the burning wreck after trying unsuccessfully save his close friend Paul Walker...

Looks fine to me. Only problem with it is that the driver's feet were still on the pedals and his legs were under the steering wheel in the normal driving position (which is obviously out of view in that image)

Re: Paul Walker Death Picture

I know no one's said it here, but you all go to different sites I'm sure so this vent will apply. Is anyone else here sick of this being called a 'tragedy'? 100mph crash ends in death, I cannot see a way this isn't their own fault.

Re: Paul Walker Death Picture

my post above didn't post.... I said I agree with you partly, it was whoever was driving's fault. And if it was the friend (racecar driver) who was indeed driving, you would think he, of all people, would know that there are places made for that kind of speed... not a god damned regular road in the middle of a busy town.
