A couple of thoughts: The shooter is a fucking retard, and by that I mean he's a dork of such a self-made degree that he thinks this is some cool fantasy he gets to live out like LARP. Chris McKenna is honestly partially to blame for this. He had an opportunity to stop it on the spot, or at least end it quicker by immediately reporting it, but he chickshitted out. I know its not exactly the most politically safe thing to do, but for fucks sake, can't we find some funding to post one cop car outside of a school with a cop who rotates daily so they don't get jaded, and preferably had a kid attending that school for motivation? And I don't mean a rent-a-cop. You know, instead of stupid ass clear-bag policies, and metal detectors and shit that don't stop someone like this... |

Iirc I think McKenna did report it since he ran and went to get an adult. He ended up telling Coach Aaron Feis who ran into the building to try and stop it and was subsequently killed. And honestly I don't blame him for reacting how he did given how young he was (he was a freshman) and the fact he had probably never been in a 'life or death' type situation ever before. But yeah the SRO is definitely to blame, he got to the building way after the two coaches (Feis and Hixon) had already gotten there and gotten killed and then proceeded to not even go inside and instead just chill outside while people were still getting murdered on the 3rd floor.

Imo I think he was obviously mentally ill but i don't believe the whole voices thing. It sounds like he is just trying to look "crazy" for sympathy/excuse. If you watch the interrogation and police body cam footage of his arrest and its pretty clear that he's faking it. Iirc also in one of the documents I attached to the original post there is a mention that he even searched for "how to look like a psycho" and "how to pretend to be crazy" and shit like that on his phone in the weeks leading up to the shooting.
