Re: Paris Terror Attacks: Crime Scene Photos & Video From Bataclan
Current news: 8 total known suicide bombers wearing vests. 7 detonated. One failure. 5 additional (assumed gun carriers) were captured - no word on dead or alive, my assumption is alive, since these people likely went into this with that on their mind. Unknown assailants still on the loose, so the entire place is on lockdown as they keep searching. Concert hall: The hall holds up to 1500. 112 known dead, 100 reported hostages saved. That's a big difference, but no reports on how many were actually in attendance, so could have been an near empty hall - or they haven't gotten people sorted enough as they are still hauling out/looking for alive, but injured people. BBC says it was sold out, but that obviously doesn't say how many showed up. Borders are nearly shut down. NYT reports "Some accounts said that grenades had been lobbed inside the music hall and that some of the assailants had detonated suicide vests." BBC's list of attacks: Le Carillon bar, 18 rue Alibert, 10th district - gun attack Le Petit Cambodge restaurant, 20 rue Alibert, 10th district - gun attack Stade de France, St Denis, just north of Paris - explosions near venue as France played Germany in football friendly La Belle Equipe, 92 rue de Charonne, 11th district - gun attack Bataclan concert venue, 50 boulevard Voltaire, 11th district - gun attack and hostages taken La Casa Nostra restaurant, rue de la Fontaine au roi, 11th district (La Casa also has witnesses reporting gunfire, I'm assuming BBC hasn't independently confirmed.. Personal musings: I'm thinking at least another 5-7 involved are out there (or police have, but aren't disclosing) - 5 locations had gunfire. With witness statements on how many shooters in the locations they chose to shoot up, only having 5 doesn't seem like enough to cover it. I would think the same group getting from location to location where there was shootings (a restaurant and the concert hall) would be that easy, it's not just across the street, it's across the river. The police statements are a bit confusing - they say they believe all gunmen are dead, but there are likely still accomplices out there. *Apparently, 3 of the 4 who detonated with the vests were at the theater (the last vest wearer who failed was killed by police). Which means there is no mathematical way they got "only" 5 gunmen and that was all there was. 4 gunmen alone were in one location. |

Re: Paris Terror Attacks: Crime Scene Photos & Video From Bataclan
Such a horroric day. The world needs to quit their bullshit and start killing ISIS off. They are a cancer. Also fucking countries in the Middle East need to step it up, because ISIS will do the same shit in their countries (after all, most of the people that ISIS has killed so far are Muslims). Now I am sure that less refugees will be able to leave Syria and Iraq to escape ISIS. I just don't get why the US doesn't drop leaflets letting people know in ISIS territory that they're going to level said city and for civilians to get out. And god damn the Iraqi military for being cowards, they're the main reason why Isis became so rich and became more powerful. We should have never left Iraq. |
