Re: Nick Hogan's Friend, John Graziano After The Accident
Actually, he got a pretty normal sentence. Remember, they (prosecutors) felt John was a good portion responsible for his own injuries. That's not uncommon in a lot of drunk driving incidents in general. It was never in dispute that John was partly at fault, the question was how much. The max sentence even possibly was a whopping 5 years in prison. I saw a lot of fluff with the stories as well stating he should be eligible for 20, 25 years, etc. but he was never charged with that and his charges were, IMO, appropriate given the circumstances. Since he rode with Nick Hogan often for racing and as a much older adult, should have had more sense than a 17 year old AND didn't wear a seat belt in all this, he was thought to be majority responsible. Both boys in the Graziano family were known to get into drugs, alcohol and liked the fast life as well - which I think was obviously proven when the other son died later by nearly identical terms to John's accident. The family also got bank in a civil settlement so it's not like he just walked away. He was a little whiny bitch in jail for his 1 year sentence for sure. But he got a typical plea deal. |
