So many want to hate on the police, talk shit about how they do things. We all can see what having ineffective police looks like. (Mexico and Brazil for starters)

If they would educate the people who don't understand why police do what they do, maybe the police should give classes too. There was a video of some guy who was critical of police, don't remember who he was. But he took an invitation to visit some cops for some police training.

And his whole opinion was changed, having to actually see what it's like to approach strangers. Some people don't understand, sure 99% of who they ticket or arrest are not a danger to them. But that 1% are, and they don't know who that 1% is going to be. And it's life or death, so letting your guard down is unacceptable.

Waiting to see if that is a gun you're reaching for is unacceptable, guns shoot bullets that travel faster than a person can react. So if they wait to see that it is indeed a gun pointed at them, it's too fucking late, they're dead.

Wouldn't it just be easier for people to be educated and understand that. Instead of calling a cop scared. You all would be scared too. Walking up to people especially in vehicles, they never know if a gun is already pointed at them.

As a former police officer there was a lot of officer safety issues in this incident. I would have ordered him to roll down his windows before approach and I wouldn’t let him out of the car.
