It's not strange to feel sorry for him. I do also after extensive research, reading, various interviews. The unfortunate man had serious mental health issues and sexual dysfunctions and he must have been really tormented by his compulsions.

His murder in prison wasn't 'justice'. It was murder and more pain for his family plus no opportunity for forensic psychiatry to learn from him.

He really was a lost, broken soul. There is nothing wrong with having compassion for people. Anyone who predictably and boringly calls you a "sympathiser", just go at them.
