The Mexican Cannibal Crime Scene Photos
José Luis Calva Zepeda, a Mexican writer and poet, gained infamy as a suspected serial killer following his arrest in 2007. Calva Zepeda's case shocked the public due to the gruesome nature of the crimes he was accused of committing, which included cannibalism. The investigation into Calva Zepeda began after police were called to his apartment in Mexico City in October 2007 concerning the disappearance of his girlfriend, Alejandra Galeana. Upon entering his residence, the police discovered human remains, which included body parts stored in a refrigerator and bones in a cereal box. Further investigation revealed cooked human flesh, leading to suspicions of cannibalism. Calva Zepeda was discovered nearby and attempted to flee from the police but was ultimately apprehended. In his apartment, authorities also found a manuscript titled "Cannibalistic Instincts," leading to media portraying him as a "cannibal poet." Upon his arrest, Calva Zepeda initially confessed to murdering and eating parts of his girlfriend. He later recanted his confession, claiming it was coerced. However, investigators connected him to the disappearance and deaths of at least two other women, raising the possibility that he was a serial killer. Before his trial could take place, José Luis Calva Zepeda was found dead in his prison cell in December 2007, in what was ruled a suicide by hanging. The circumstances surrounding his death added another layer of intrigue and controversy to an already sensational case. |
