This was one of those “I remember exactly where I was the minute I heard all about it” moments for those of us in Boston. Most of us had the day off from work as it’s a holiday. I work right near where it happened and walk over that same sidewalk daily…before and after the incident. It’s something. This life is quite a story……….

10th anniversary today. Watching the special on Netflix, and came back to this thread to check it out again. One side note... in the later pic posted of her on the EMS cot being resuscitated, I don't think that's her. In the wide angle of the shot where the medic is checking for a carotid pulse, it clearly looks like her left leg is amputated or its just broken so bad, it's doubled back up under her. The person on the cot doesn't look to have the types of injuries that cause complete exsanguination.  |

I hope her family could, through these pictures, find some comfort in the fact that she defied the attack by fighting for her life to the end, and that she and another woman who died were together and she would have known she wasn't alone.
