The Keddie Murders Crime Scene Photos
The Keddie Murders remain one of the most perplexing cold cases in California's criminal history. The quadruple homicide occurred in a small, rural town of Keddie in the Sierra Nevada mountains on the night of April 11, 1981. The victims were Glenna Sharp, known as Sue, her son John, daughter Tina, and John's friend, Dana Wingate. Investigators found the bodies of Sue, John, and Dana in cabin 28 at the Keddie Resort. They had been bound and subjected to severe blunt force trauma and stabbing. Tina Sharp was missing from the scene, leading to a protracted search. Her skeletal remains were discovered in 1984 in Butte County, about 50 miles from Keddie. The case has baffled law enforcement for decades. Despite numerous theories and suspects, no convictions have been made. The initial investigation faced criticism for its handling, including the loss of evidence and a lack of resources. In 2013, the Plumas County Sheriff's office reopened the case, citing new leads and advancements in forensic technology. The Keddie Murders have sparked widespread interest, partly due to the brutality of the crimes and the mystery surrounding them. Various documentaries and crime shows have featured the case, attempting to shed light on the unsolved murders. |

Re: The Keddie Murders Crime Scene Photos
Great post. I didn't hear about this case until fairly recently, about a year or so ago. I've heard the movie The Strangers was loosely based on this case, but not sure about the validity of that. Never saw the photos, though. Rough.

Strange. How did the cop know that Tina was missing right away? Only lived there 5 months. Wonder where the father of the kids was? That would have been where I would start. |
