These scans are lifted from from David S. Lifton's book 'Best Evidence - Disguise And Deception In The Assassination Of John F. Kennedy' (Carroll & Graf Publishers, Inc. New York, 1980).The captions at the pictures read:

Autopsy Photo 1.
Left lateral view of President Kennedy's head.

Autopsy Photo 2.
View from the top of the head, shows the abdomen. Note: No Y incision has yet been made, which establishes that at least this photo was taken at the outset of the autopsy.

Autopsy Photo 3.
Full face view, from forward right-hand side. Note the large throat wound, which is supposed to be the tracheotomy incision made by Dr. Perry. Original wound was 3-5 mm. Perry told me his incision was "2-3 cm." The wound described in the autopsy report is 6.5 cm. (Under oath, Humes testified it was "7-8 cm.") and had "widely gaping irregular edges." Also note the right forehead area: according to the A-P and lateral X-rays, the bone is completely gone, at least as far down as the area of the right eye socket. The bone is not gone on the photographs.

Autopsy Photo 4.
Rear view of head. Gloved hand positions head. Large flap of scalp and bone on forward right side, allegedly associated with large exit wound. A ruler is shown fully on Dox drawing. Dox drawing was made from a similar but not identical autopsy photo. Rear entry wound, a major feature of Dox drawing, is not discernible on this picture. Why, is unclear.

Autopsy Photo 5.
Rear view of Kennedy's body. Note the extensive post-mortem wrinkle and abrasions not portrayed on the Dox drawing of the same photo. Also note the ruler, which as positioned seems unrelated to the way the back wound is measured in the autopsy report: the distance between the wound and the right mastoid process, the bony point behind the right ear. But the ruler does cover the area on the body where the FBI reported a "low" back wound. Also note that the back of the head, reported blown out by the Dallas doctors, appears intact in these pictures.

Autopsy Photo 6.
View of the top of the head. This picture, which would normally be expected to show the brain inside the head, at first appears to show a confusing mass of brain tissue and hair. On closer inspection, it appears to show a mechanical device inside the head.

Autopsy Photo 6A.
Enlargement showing what appears to be a clip or device inside head. (See arrow).

Autopsy Photo 7.
Interior of cranium. Officialy titled by House Select Commitee "Anterior-superior [view] of cranial cavity. Brain removed." In the official collection, no picture exists showing the brain inside the head. Note semicircular notch in bone. House Select Commitee placed great emphasis on this notch, citing it as medico-legal evidence of exit. Humes, however, testified that he examined entire periphery of wound and could find no evidence of exit.

You're never going to convince me Oswald acted alone, if he took part at all.

I've seen this picture and am on the fence of it's authenticity. Thoughts? (Apologies on such the large image)
