Who knows if this guy decided at the last moment that what he was about to do just didn't sit right with him - so he changed his mind and didn't show?

Maybe he even wanted to warn the authorities, but didn't bother (possibly because of the family ties).

Maybe he did try to warn LE (slim chance) but whoever was on the other end may he figured he was bluffing. You'd be surprised how many of these calls dispatch receives annually (and better yet, how little of them turn out to be true).

Either way, does the fact that he knows someone is planning to murder another human being enough that - in the end - it's alright if we pump him full of lead? Does innocent until proven guilty not mean fuck all anymore?

Don't get me wrong - What happened in Boston was tragic, cowardly, and I'm not defending whoever was directly responsible. But what happened to this guy (more so due to the way it went down)... he didn't need to die like this. He should have been booked, and if found guilty, due process, maybe even the needle.

There's enough young Americans going six feet under daily in the country due to trigger happy morons with a badge who seem to think that to serve and protect means to shoot their load and ask questions later.

innocent until proven bla bla that in a court of law if the law thought their life was endangered well the above is what happens, and frankly if he knew and did nothing he is just as guilty imo. If I knew my brother was doing a bombing I would turn him in the alternative is not an option

After seeing these pics it just makes the whole story seem even more off.

Looks like he was shot in the back as he tried to open the door. I'm guessing the way out of the apartment is via that door.

the wound to his head is obviously a "graze" wound. not that it didn't cause serious damage, the wounds shape says it just drove over the scalp from the front to back. you can also see from his ear he was a fighter, possibly kickboxing, he has what happens after multiple injuries over a long period of time making the tissue thick and hard.

Ibragim Todashev, the first player in Wednesday's strange day of terrorism and then racism (ahead of Obama's big talk on terrorism today) was apparently about to sign a confession to the 2011 triple murder in Massachusetts when he "just went crazy."

One FBI agent received minor abrasions from the knife attack, which was stopped when Todashev was shot in the head. The FBI is saying this was only moments before Todashev was going to sign a confession that would have implicated both him and suspected Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev in the 2011 triple homicide.

Reniya Manukyan, the estranged wife of Todashev, said her husband "had nothing to hide" and was cooperating fully with the FBI over the course of several weeks as they repeatedly interviewed him.

A roommate of Todashev, Khusen Taramov, told reporters that Todashev had even canceled a flight home to his native Chechnya so he could speak with investigators.

"He didn't flip out," said Taramov. "I think something went wrong there. I think they just shot him. He didn't do anything. I know him. He just wanted everything to be over."

Manukyan's wife stressed Todashev's distance from Tsarnaev. "They weren't close to each other. They weren't friends or anything," she said.

Todashev has a history of violence, however. He had been recently arrested for aggravated battery.

“The agent, two Mass*achusetts State Police troopers, and other law enforcement personnel were interviewing (Todashev) ... when a violent confrontation was initiated by the individual,” the FBI said after the attack. “... The individual was killed and the agent sustained non-life threatening 
injuries.”

The FBI has sent a team of investigators to look into the fatal shooting. The investigators will look into just how a man who was being interviewed for several hours came to possess a knife, and why, even with several officers (and other unidentified law enforcement personnel) in the room with a suspected murderer with terrorist connections, lethal force was used to stop a knife attack.

I always found the official story around this very odd
Seems to be some things that would go against protocols, and some inconsistencies.
