First and foremost, those were NOT good and loving parents! They should never have allowed him to get away with ONE crime, let alone all of the rest. They treated him like a baby, not a man. They never pressed charges, paid for all of his messes, and even begged family members not to press charges. They created this monster. He knew he could get away with anything and have no consequences. A parents job is not to protect their grown children or prevent them from being mad at them. A parent’s job is to teach their children to become mature, productive, kind, adults. Not to keep them in your home and protect from the rest of the world. We are supposed to teach them how to deal with things that happen in our lives. This is tragic but, the parents and the brother all contributed greatly to the outcome.

You will likely get flamed for this, but essentially you are correct. Nothing justifies this little turd killing his family, but they did “enable” him time and time again.
