BTK used a gun and the ruse of being a drifter needing money/car to make his victims agree to be tied up. He knew if he told them what he originally planned, he wouldn't be able to get them in a vulnerable state where he could do whatever he wanted. Guy was a complete chicken shit.

You really can't tell by looking who the crazy ones are. As many of these psychos as I see, I'm still amazed at how normal the bulk of them look. This guy looks like a banker for chrissakes!
