Crime Scene Pictures From The Murder of Dana Satterfield
The murder of Dana Satterfield, a case that garnered significant attention, remains a tragic and pivotal event in South Carolina's criminal history. On July 20, 1995, Satterfield, a mother and hair salon owner in Roebuck, was brutally murdered in her salon, triggering a lengthy investigation and pursuit of justice. Satterfield's body was found in her salon, 'The Clip and Curl', showing signs of a violent struggle. She had been strangled and sexually assaulted. The brutal nature of the crime shocked the local community and prompted an intense investigation by law enforcement. The investigation faced challenges due to the lack of direct witnesses and concrete leads. However, forensic evidence played a crucial role in the case. DNA evidence collected from the crime scene was pivotal in identifying a suspect. In 1997, Jonathan Vick, who was familiar with Satterfield and had been seen near the salon on the day of the murder, was arrested and charged with her murder. The trial was marked by the presentation of forensic evidence and testimonies that linked Vick to the crime. In 1999, Vick was found guilty of murder and sexual assault and sentenced to life in prison.  ·  · |

This was an episode on Discovery ID the other day. She was a beautician/hairdresser. Sadly, I did not finish the show to see who did it. But there was an eyewitness who saw the guy climb out of the window and run to a waiting vehicle. I'll try to find out more.
