this happened to me when i was a reshman. i lived in a neighboring county and remember the whole state school system went into lock down... now this shit seems to happen weekly.... the fuck is happening to us?  |

Actually there is. They photographed the whole crime scene with all the dead bodies still in the library but they probably will never release those pictures. Some guy from the evidence team leaked the photos of the dead shooters. |

It wasn't a matter of whether or not they sucked as school shooters, or what guns they used. Columbine as it happened was not Columbine as Harris and Klebold had originally intended. Their original plan was to use two large propane bombs to destroy the two pillars in the commons area that were supporting the library above, which would have destroyed both areas at a time when they would have been the most populated and inflicting a death toll in the hundreds. Afterwards, they would be waiting outside to pick off fleeing survivors. None of this happened, however, because the alarm clocks that Harris used as timers for the propane bombs contained plastic connectors instead of the brass connectors that were needed to trigger the explosions. When the propane bombs didn't go off in the minutes following the diversionary bomb that they had set off a few miles away, they realized that something had gone wrong and switched to Plan B. At some point during their shooting spree in the library, they actually grew bored of shooting students and decided to head down to the commons; surveillance footage shows Harris using his rifle in an attempt to set off the propane bombs from the first landing of the stairs leading from the commons to the second floor, but all he succeeded in doing was starting a large fire. So while it was indeed a school shooting, it was also a failed bombing. |
