Burn to death or jump to your death. Horrific dilemma.

Re: A Collage of World Trade Center Jumpers

As well as "The Sinking Of The Titanic", this is one of the most upsetting things I've ever read and I highly recommend it. A real-life thriller, I couldn't put it down. Very moving, upsetting, shocking, the lot

Made me furiously angry towards the perpretrators though

Re: A Collage of World Trade Center Jumpers

Am I the only person in the entire country who is tired of the whole WTC thing?

I mean, when you put it into perspective with what some countries in the rest of the world go through, WTC was nothing. In our nation's history we have been attacked on our own soil, what, twice? Yes, thousands died, and its horrible -- but what about what happens in checnya, and africa, and the middle east, to innocent people - every single day.

And instead of, I don't know, learning some kind of lesson from this atrocity, we started some bullshit war that seems to be endless and way more costly than what happened on September 11.

A very valid point and I do agree. I've posted up some images from other diasters and they're equally horrifying.

I think the WTC event is raw in the mind (well, my mind) because we WATCHED people cling to windows, wave for help, fall, jump and ultimately perish on our TVs. Very shocking stuff to see for real. It's an event we've witnessed happening in front of our eyes, seperated by the glass of a TV so does maybe make it that bit different to other atrocities to people.

The other events, we only saw the terrible aftermaths. The tsunami and the earthquake in China distress me too

Re: A Collage of World Trade Center Jumpers

If you hold your finger above a burning candle you don't think: hmm, should i take away my finger or not?...hmm....
the same thing with those poor ones jumping out off WTC.
BTW, Is there any pics/movies of the dead bodies on the ground some hours after this tragedy out there?

Are you completely fucking ignorant? It was either jump or burn to death, fool. As stupid as you seem I suppose you would have chosen to burn to death. If your family told you you're worthless, they know you better than anybody so, I'd accept it, and try to do something to better yourself ASAP.
