Re: Bodies Recovered From The Lost John Franklin Expedition
Great post. I have a book about the Franklin Expedition. Besides TB being carried up to the arctic, the canned food gave the crew lead poisoning, and possibly botulism. John Torrington had tuberculosis and pneumonia.

Re: Bodies Recovered From The Lost John Franklin Expedition
An expedition by the Canadians successfully located the wreck of the Erebus. There is a volcano in Antarctica named Mount Erebus (the Erebus and the Terror made a voyage to Antarctica). In 1979, a DC-10 airliner, owned by New Zealand Air, was on a sight seeing tour of Antarctica, and crashed into Mount Erebus, killing all 257 people aboard.
