The Beheading Of American Jack Hensley
Jack Hensley, an American engineer from Marietta, Georgia, was killed while working in Iraq. Hensley was kidnapped and subsequently beheaded by terrorists in Iraq, with his death occurring on September 21, 2004. This incident occurred during a time of intense conflict in the region and highlighted the dangers faced by contractors working in volatile areas. Hensley's colleague, Eugene Armstrong, was also a victim of the same group of terrorists, being beheaded the day before Hensley. The tragic fate of both men drew international attention and underscored the severe risks associated with working in war-torn regions. In response to Hensley's death, his family took legal action against the state of Syria. They filed a federal lawsuit, claiming that Syria supported the group responsible for his murder.
