Yep and the police in Rochester were not given a heads up that such a dangerous criminal was being released into their community  |

In '2005 I took care of Arthur Shawcross when he came into our hospital for a procedure. I had to put an IV in him and shave his groin, and then took care of him after his procedure. I didn't know who he was at the time; only that he was an inmate, and a bad one at that. One of the other nurses refused to take care of him, and since I had worked in the prison, I took him. After he left, the correctional sergeant who was a friend of mine started busting on me saying "do you know who that was?!?" He told me to look himup online and the first thing I saw was a listing for an hour long special on the Biography channel about him. My ex-husband and I watched the show and I was shocked. Nasty man. I can still see that twitch in his eye. I bought a book about him on Amazon for like $1 that I still have yet to read. I can tell you that he didn't die in prison, he died in our ER not long after gallbladder surgery, from a painful complication. Not as painful as what he did to people... |
