Re: Alex Zanardi Crash Pictures

Btw, Michael Andretti, who was following behind and saw the accident happen in front of him, said it looked like a lawn sprinkler as Zanardi's car spun round and round and the blood spewed out.

Re: Alex Zanardi Crash Pictures

there was a good F1 crash from the 80's where a car crashed and old mate ran across the track to put out the flames with his extinguisher, enter another driver who hits him, double header, driver cops the fire extinguisher to the face and dies and old mate is in about 100 pieces around the place. Ill have a hunt for the vid
I THINK HE WAS CALLED PRICE AND THE GUY WITH THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER WAS A MARSHALL

That video you are talking about is in here somewhere. I’ve seen it here. I saw it live too. Decades ago.

Re: Alex Zanardi Crash Pictures

In a car meet about 20 years ago, we were discussing the Acura (Honda) NSX. We were discussing the various trim levels, the base, the “type-R and the “type-S”.

Someone said “type S? What’s that?”

I said “It was marketed as the Zanardi edition in the US”

He said “well what’s the difference between the Type-R and the Zanardi edition”

I said with a deadpan expression “The Zanardi edition is equipped with hand controls”

One person at the table started uncontrollably cry laughing, everyone else looked at me with disgust. Guess who I hung out with the rest of the weekend?
