Re: Actor Paul Walker Killed in Car Crash *update*

They were driving over 100mph in a 45, they deserve what they got, let's all just be thankful these inconsiderate jackasses didn't kill any innocent people while they were being retards. Darwin award anyone?
If this picture isn't photoshoped then the speed limit was 15 MPH.

Probably coming around a sharp curve, or a merge or exit. It looks like they hit the tree after losing control on the outside of a sharp curve, so the speed limit being 15 would make sense. There's a lot of curving sections of rural road up where I live with speed limits of 25 or 30 in an otherwise 55 mph zone, so going from 45 to a 15 in a sharp curve would make sense.

Re: Actor Paul Walker Killed in Car Crash *update*

is there a reason that Porches tend to "explode" when they crash? is it cuz they're so small?

Nope, it is because the fuel tank is located at the front of the car, not the rear. Most Porsches which are involved in head on crashes tend to go this way. If they are rear ended they are fine. Although being rear ended in a Porsche suggests your driving like a wimp LOL

Last photo looks like charred remains sitting upright in the passenger side.

I don't feel sorry for either one of these geeks. Act like a fool and pay the price.
Had it been a bus full of children nothing would said, but a bloody film star its all over the news, just glad they never took anyone else with them

Completely wrong - the fuel tank in a Carrera GT is directly behind the bulkhead, central to the car, behind the drivers. I've read that it hit a lamp post first, (Paul Walkers side), ruptured fuel lines and the fuel tank, engulfed the car in flames and continued slide into he tree it rested on.

They were driving like nutters by all accounts, the bend they crashed on is regularly used by people trying to 'drift' - as the title to one of the films goes 'Too Fast and too Furious'!
