Anyone know what the extra pieces on the outside of the front wheels are...? Some kind of bead-lock to keep the tires on the rim? or what?? |

Those discs are “Turbofans”: a modern homage to old-school racecar technology. They were originally made to give front brakes more airflow so they don’t overheat. |

Ahhh, that totally makes sense. Thanks  I can't only imagine how much heat that kind of maneuvering would generate on even the most high-end brakes. |
