On my way to Berthoud to hookup with somebody's to go supermoto racing in South Daktoa. I had my 40lbs gear bag and essentials on my back. Took a detour through town to scope out the damage. Came up to a sketch crossing and tried to give it a shot...

Took 2 days to find my bike! Had to wait 9 days before I was able to dig her out! Needs a complete tear down before i can turn her over again...

Just after he released his bike, he hit a strainer wearing a 40lb mess bag and submerged for a second. He is lucky he did not hang up in that strainer. The current could have pulled him one way and pulled the bag another way, and it would have been all over.

He's also lucky to have found his MC later on.

When I was a kid, we rode in groups and carried a tow rope to save us from walking home.

Now there are few dirt riders around so I am dreading the day of the long walk.
