Re: DR's Official MMA Thread Pt. 2
Good night of fights considering the amount of manlets on the card. DJ vs Cejudo was a technical masterpiece. That was MMA at its highest level. One of my favorites fights of all time. Demetrius did a hellova job trying to minimize the Mexican's wrestling pedigree with incredible stand-up, amazing transitions and take-down defense. The few times Cejudo landed the TD he controlled Mighty Mouse with a strong top game. There are levels to this. Cejudo has that next level shit and he's only getting better. Hats off to DJ who took that loss like a champ. Can't wait for the Trilogy fight. |

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread Pt. 2
I normally have the opinion that, "To be the man, you gotta BEAT the MAN." ..but, in this case, I think Cejudo did enough to earn the belt - even though it was a SPLIT decision and he didn't finish DJ. Cejudo vs Dillashaw is the next logical fight to make. |

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread Pt. 2
Tough fight to score. Personally I scored it a draw, giving the first two rounds to DJ, the last two rounds to Cjudo and the 3rd round even (10-10). DJ looked vulnerable from the bottom once he was pinned there. Cjudo also did more in the championship rounds. If anyone deserves an immediate rematch it's MM. |
