Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
My phone died as soon as I got to town but the guy I went with got some good pics of it all. I'll post them tomorrow or the next day as he got a hotel room and stayed I came home. What a fucking experience. I saw five fights and honestly can't really single out a memory..it's all a blur really but worth the money I think. I should have left earlier though as the undercard from what I am viewing were the best fights. Was a decent crowd too, usually I get into scraps in Calgary but everyone there was having a good time. First UFC event I've seen and I would definitely spend a grand to see another. Wouldn't pay less to sit any farther away either. That was perfect seating. |

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
The main event was a good, technical fight, (which I know you just bleed fans hate.) Faber ran into trouble mostly because he couldn't get the td but credit Barao for the great ttd. Barao afterwards was picking Faber apart with a more diverse attack. The card was riddled with injuries. Most these guys had 2-3 week camps. But your right, as a fan I was a lil disappointed and I'm glad the Calgary crowd voiced their opinion at the end. |

Yeah, I'm good with the Faber/Barao fight. Barao's style and length make for a shit matchup for Faber. And the card was doomed from the jump, Aldo, Nog, Stann, Bisping all get hurt, not much you can about that.
