Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
Right now in the division, Lawler is the one because of his toughness, boxing skills and TD defense I think. But he's not unbeatable, of course... It's just nobody is good enought to do so (except Condit but it's done now, again really sorry for him, plus he said he's done with fighting |

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
He would have wiped the floor with everyone in Pride just like he has in the UFC. Nothing would change. Pride had knees/kicks to the head of a grounded opponents. GSP would take FULL advantage of that with his wrestling and top control and would dent a hole in his opponents' skull. He would also he have a ten minute first round to tire out his opponent as there's no fighter in ww division that can match the athleticism and cardio he has. Pride GSP would be much more dangerous. Diaz fanboys are the p4p the funniest bunch on the internet. Watch GSP vs Thomas Denny at UCC 12. With knees to the head, his number one position would be side control and he would fuck up a lot of guys with them. ![]() Fact: Jake Shields has wins over Robbie Lawler, Condit, Woodley and Maia, essentially every top fighter in the ufc's ww division. |

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
I don't know for Nick...he's a tremendous cardio worker, and GSP did not finish him, but each got is own star my friend Anyway, 3 or 5 5 mins rounds is actually outdated with regard to the overall skills level now, just saying...plus like you said, he judges thing... |

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
Not rude just stating facts. He made a name for himself under the banner Strikeforce, fighting for chump change, where he was fed hand picked opponents for over 6 years. Nick Diaz has a ufc record of 7 wins and 7 losses. It is what it is, man. Probably the most overrated fighter in the history of mma. |
