Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

Right now in the division, Lawler is the one because of his toughness, boxing skills and TD defense I think. But he's not unbeatable, of course... It's just nobody is good enought to do so (except Condit but it's done now, again really sorry for him, plus he said he's done with fighting)

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

I like the fighter gsp is, behaviour, fight control and technic,( plus he speaks french) but he's so boring to watch, I mean, looking for points and letting the clock running ...Of course i understand well the way he does, you've got to be great to win every rounds of every fights, but in the real self-defense ju-jitsu world (streets) it does not work like that...My speech can sound stupid, I know, but this is the vision I've got about it, how I learnt japanes Ju-jitsu and judo(since I'm 12 yo, I'm 36 now). You sound right, (however, everything can happen in a fight) but let's say if UFC allowing a pride clock, or 12 rounds for example, GSP would have less chance to be so great. Nick Diaz should...Only my point of view...That's why I respect him way more than GSP, even if he's a trash talker (I think he fakes to be a thug). I agree GSP should return back to the UFC, he's a reason to show how respect works in MMA (BTW congrats to Condit and Lawler for showing so this last WE) but I prefer to see Diaz vs Lawler 2( new Lawler I mean) I would say Lawler winning by descision...As usual, nobody can finish Nick;)
He would have wiped the floor with everyone in Pride just like he has in the UFC. Nothing would change. Pride had knees/kicks to the head of a grounded opponents. GSP would take FULL advantage of that with his wrestling and top control and would dent a hole in his opponents' skull. He would also he have a ten minute first round to tire out his opponent as there's no fighter in ww division that can match the athleticism and cardio he has. Pride GSP would be much more dangerous.

Diaz fanboys are the p4p the funniest bunch on the internet.

Watch GSP vs Thomas Denny at UCC 12. With knees to the head, his number one position would be side control and he would fuck up a lot of guys with them.

Fact: Jake Shields has wins over Robbie Lawler, Condit, Woodley and Maia, essentially every top fighter in the ufc's ww division.

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

I don't know for Nick...he's a tremendous cardio worker, and GSP did not finish him, but each got is own star my friend

Anyway, 3 or 5 5 mins rounds is actually outdated with regard to the overall skills level now, just saying...plus like you said, he judges thing...

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

come on mate don't be rude I already watched that fight, and I'm not judging GSP skills, just saying is boring to watch, that's all, and you can say whatever you want on Diaz he can not be compared to T denny( who's absolutely not a Gracie jjb Black belt) Btw Nick beated the shit out of him too

I can see you don't like the Diaz bros, fair enough, but stay objective please, it was an intresting conversation until now;) I'm done, see you

Not rude just stating facts.

He made a name for himself under the banner Strikeforce, fighting for chump change, where he was fed hand picked opponents for over 6 years. Nick Diaz has a ufc record of 7 wins and 7 losses. It is what it is, man. Probably the most overrated fighter in the history of mma.
