Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
The fact is UFC is the more powerfull show to watch mma. I don't know for other countries but mma is forbiden in france. ufc is the only way for me to watch, (just only on one tv channel).... I don't like the way ufc deals with mma...Too much money, cameras, reporters, public training, press conference and lighting, well, you know what I meen. Fighter exposed like meat...But I am a part of that, like all people talking here, no choice, as fans... All of that stuff is far far away from Martial Arts, but have to deal with it, it's keeping mma alive for public. Without it, it should be like in my country: Poor guys without funding support, training in old buildings, old equipment, no competition, sports federation (judo federation BTW: very powerfull in france, you've got to be registered to it to practice other arts like for example karate or tai boxing) treating mma fighters like assholes because they think mma is not sport, just dogfighting. |

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
The UFC currently has all 10 of their titles on schedule for defense in the next 5 months. UFC 184- BW: Rousey vs Zingano UFC 185- LW: Pettis vs dos Anjos, SW: Esparza vs Jędrzejczyk UFC 186- BW: Dillashaw vs Barao, FLW Mighty Mouse vs Horiguchi UFC 187- LHW: Bones vs Rumble, MW: Weidman vs Belfort UFC 188- HW: Velasquez vs Werdum UFC 189- FW: Aldo vs McGregor, WW: Lawler vs MacDonald UFC 189 takes place on July 11th. Five months and all ten titles over the course of 6 PPVs. An injury free period would give them an incredible run of success that they haven't seen in three years. UFC 187 is fucking stacked! Jon Jones vs. Anthony Johnson Chris Weidman vs. Vitor Belfort Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Donald Cerrone Joseph Benavidez vs. John Moraga Andrei Arlovski vs. Travis Browne |
