So fucking bummed about Cain not fighting next month, been looking forward to this fight for MONTHS.

It's not just Cain, multiple star fighters were lost due to injuries and drug test issues in 2014. It is the company's weakest year in ppv buys since 2005. Despite their losses in ppv the company, however has grown 50 percent in the past five years based on television deals and live shows around the world.

2015 is going to be massive for the UFC imo. Most, if not all the fighters will return. Also a few Canadian shows (Toronto, Montreal) were pulled this year in order to entertain Rory's title fight and GSP's return in early 2015. Cyborg will sign with the organization. "Cyborg vs Rousey" has a fucking nice ring to it.

Couple of big events coming up UFC 180 WERDUM VS. HUNT for the interim HW title and 181 HENDRICKS VS. LAWLER II card is stacked.

Best case scenario for tristar is a Lawler win over Hendricks. Rory then can get his title shot with a rematch with Robbie and that sets up Hendricks vs GSP II.

Velasquez underwent surgery a couple of days ago to repair the MCL. While under the knife, they discovered the injury was more extensive than originally feared.

"The surgery went well, but there was more damage than anticipated, which didn’t make sense to me because he’s so freaking tough," he told Ariel Helwani. "If Cain says ‘oww’ it must be a lot worse than he’s making it out to be, because that guy can take pain like I’ve never seen. So when it turned out that his MCL was worse, they put two anchors on it, it turns out he’ll be out a little longer than anticipated."

As for a timetable for how long Velasquez will be out, Mendez said he wasn’t entirely sure, but that the doctors were doing everything in their power to help accelerate the recovery. If all goes well, a springtime date in 2015 would be the goal.

If they say spring you can bet on a late summer return. Nearly 2 years out!!

GSP would smother Lawler for 5 rounds. The only interesting fight for Georges at ww is a rematch with Hendricks.
