Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

McDonald and Woodley was the highlight of the night.
I'll be the first to admit i'm not a Rory fan; but he did a helluva job on Saturday night, so hats off to him.

The Main Event was good, but simply in terms of watching Ali hang in there for 5rds and keep from getting finished.

Andrei Arlovski vs. Brendan Schaub: The battle of the has-been and the never was.

Fucking terrible, Arlovski acted like he didn't know why he was
there and Schaub put on a typical Schaub performance...Zzzzzz...

He pretty much dominated from start to finish. Rory fights better when he is the aggressor but he's also smart enough to peel back if he felt Woodley had the chance to counter. Not quite ready for the strap but the dude is still young.

Barring any injuries, the strap will be his one day.

He fights very much like his Champion mentor.

It takes approximately 3.5 hrs to reach Ackland from Hamilton by car, so you still have time.
