Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
Even worse was Diaz' schizo post-fight mood swings... "I lost, i quit... ..I want a rematch... ..I'm gonna retire... ..I'll fight anyone... ..i don't make any money doing this... ..i should get a rematch... ..i've pretty much done everything i've wanted to do... ..I think I deserve to fight Silva!!" |

Diaz needs more money to keep buying the good kind of weed. He is not gonna retire.

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
I'll say it again, Nick Diaz is a victim of Strikeforce's marketing of him. Strikeforce was so intent on making him superstar they matched him specifically against strikers which in turn resulted in exciting fights but the truth is that the UFC welterweight top twenty is stacked with talented wrestlers and Diaz hadn't fought someone who was going to try and take him down and pound on him since 2006. He was hardly going to start stuffing takedowns with the best wrestler in the MMA world. Say what you want about GSP but the guy has only lost 2 rounds since 2007 in arguably the toughest division in the ufc. Will Hendrix be the guy to dethrone him? |

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
Didnt enjoy that at all. Was impressed with nicks takedown defence but I was disappointed with everything else. I know a lot had to do with GSPs positioning but I expected a fuck ton of sub attempts from the bottom. Got a lot of respect for GSP not a fan but I respect him. It was clear from the start he was going to go for the decision. Silva would destroy him, I think it would be a big mistake taking that fight. Real disappointed

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
Nick Diaz done? Nick's been tired of the politics, judging, scoring, and the direction that fighting style has taken in mixed martial arts for quite some time. I personally think he should reconsider. The guy is a hell of a fighter and stylistically I think there are some exciting match ups for him starting with Martin Kampmann.
