Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
Machida is gonna Machida no matter who they put in there with him. The only way you beat that guy is to make him start going straight backwards and cut him off or wrap him up and go to work. Which is damn near impossible unless you sprint at him and hope he doesn't catch you coming in and turn the lights out. As far as that fight goes, I've seen a lot worse. At least Machida didn't completely turn his back to Hendo as he was "circling" away and haul ass from him, repeatedly. Hendo spent the whole fight looking for the one punch KO and never got it. Legit lulz at the video. And the ladies put on a hell of fight, good for them. |

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
Henderson fans were expecting something that was never gonna happen and that was a KO. Henderson telegraphs that right hand all day and everyone knew what Henderson's main weapon was going to be. Machida is known for being elusive and moving backwards. Before he got a title shot people always complained about his elusive style. Henderson clearly didn't want to go guns a blazing cause of his cardio which of as late hasn't been very good. He paced himself and fell right into the game of Machida and lost a decision. |
