Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

This maybe the first time i will (take note I said maybe) be betting aginst vitor. I was a big martial art fan as a kid and also a tapetrader so I really got into MMA and vitor was a early star. In retrospect he got away with alot more then would be deemed acceptable. I read a article that sumed up what most dont want to face that the 'old vitor' was a steriod bloated fighter with talent in a talentless era. On paper he should have Fedor or Igor type records. He is a BJJ blackbelt under a legit gracie. He has olimpic standard boxing (IIRC he was going for the brazil team but broke his hand) but he didnt live up to it. for the record I thought he was robbed aginst tito and should have got more credit for the randy victory.

I hate to say it but a bisping win is better for the division. Im not a bisping fan but even the haters cant deny he deserves a title shot

How on earth did you think that, the guys a mouthy English arrogant joke, always talked the talk but never walked the walk.
A bum, finally his 15 minutes are over.
Hopefully he talks himself up and comes back for another mass facial beating.

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

Bisping didn't follow the game plan. He'll be back stronger from this.

I thought it would be better for the division largely due to the fact that, well, who does vitor face now? bisping may be mouthy but he gets people watching. Haven't watched the event yet but sounds like it was a resonable show

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

Bisping will never be a champion plain and simple. He is a good fighter but when he faces those top level guys he just cant pull it out.

@icheerthebull.... tbh the show as a whole wasnt that good. The main card was decent but some of the prelims were far from exciting. Next show on Fox should be a good one though.

Bispings' marketability is shot, had more than enough chances to prove himself, hasn't got it at top level.

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

I watched the fight 5 times and still shocked at Bispings game plan.

Bisping is well rounded in all aspects of mma but doesn't do a single fucking thing well. Standing with a guy like Vitor was his downfall. You would think this team would tell him to mix it up after being kicked in the head the first time. Micheal would benefit if he left his training camp in Europe and come train at TriStar as did Dan Hardy.

Bisping is good for the sport and the expansion of mma in Europe.

From middle easy, Rory Mac's second pro fight, 16 years old at the time.

Bisping is very good but he's not great, I don't know if changing training camps would make any difference or not honestly. His problems are his lack of one punch knockout power which means he has to beat people with volume, which is fine if you have the chin to stand in the pocket and beat up on people but he doesn't, and he knows his chin isn't that good which only makes it worse. Every time someone lands a clean shot he looks fucking petrified and goes straight backwards, opponents see that and it's blood in the water, game over. So unless they can teach chin I think Bisping is about as good as he'll ever be, hope I'm wrong but I'm not. I doubt he'll ever be a Champion but he will always be the guy that legitimately put UK mma on the map so Champ or not he has his place in mma and UK fighting history.
